I am hiring for a Principal level Engineer with a great deal of experience within Power Conversion Technology. This person will oversee projects around research and development of new products across multiple applications specifically within MV DC technology. This person will play a vital role in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as PV Solar & Battery Energy Storage Field, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle, and Embedded Power Supply.

Responsibilities of the Role

• Align with industry trends and customer demands across data centers, PV, energy storage, and EV charging sectors to formulate technical roadmaps ensuring superior competitiveness of product solutions.
• Lead the architecture design, simulation modeling, and key component design of medium-voltage high-power isolated DC-DC converters.
• Lead the design of Medium-Frequency Transformers (MFT), and tackle technical challenges around this.
• Track cutting-edge technologies of medium-voltage high-power isolated DC-DC converters to identify innovation opportunities.
• Provide end-to-end technical support to drive successful closure of key customer projects.

Expertise Required

• High level specialist in Solid-State Transformers (SST) and medium-voltage high-power isolated DC-DC conversion; well-versed in Medium-Frequency Transformer (MFT) design, high-voltage high-frequency insulation and partial discharge suppression.
• In-depth research and hands-on development experience in high-voltage SiC device application, gate driver design, and series voltage balancing control.
• Skilled in the full hardware development workflow for medium-voltage high-power converters with proven project management capabilities.
• Minimum 4-8 years of relevant industry experience.
• Local or willing to relocate and work in an on-site environment 5 days per week.

For this role you will need professional level English Language skills, additional languages are also of benefit for this role, technical interviews will be completed in English. Please note this is also an on site position 5 days per week.
